Solda/Sulden is located amidst the Ortler Mountains in Stelvio (Stilfser Joch) National
Park. The glacier ski area offers 44 km of slopes for experienced skiers and other winter
sports enthusiasts. A total of fourteen (14) 3,000 metre - plus peaks frame the vast glacier
beneath Mount Ortler.

Welcome to the Lärchenhof HOTEL BAR. The hotel lies at 1.900 m right on the edge of a large wood and
at the foot of the mighty Ortler, South Tyrol's highest mountain and just a stone's throw from the
valley station for the Sulden cable car and straight up to the high - Alpine land
of the Stilfserjoch National Park.

SKIING Ischgl / SAMNAUN: The ski resort Ischgl / Samnaun - Silvretta Arena is located in
Paznaun - Ischgl (Austria, Tyrol and in the Scuol Samnaun Val Müstair Holiday region
(Switzerland, Eastern Switzerland, Graubünden) For skiing and snowboarding, there are
238 km of slopes. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1.377 -
2.872 m.

The ski resort SCUOL - MOTTA NALUNS is located in
the Scuol Samnaun Val Müstair Holiday Region
(Switzerland, Eastern Switzerland, Graubünden). For
skiing and snowboarding, there are 70 km of slopes
available. 10 lifts transport the guests. The winter
sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,250
and 2,785 m. The Motta Naluns ski resort lies above
the villages of Scuol, Ftan and Sent. Modern lifts go up
from Scuol and Ftan. There is only a valley run to Sent,
the "Traumpiste" (Dream slope). From Sent you can
take the taxi or ski bus back.

Solda ( 3,250 m ) in the Stelvio National Park nestles beneath 14 majestic "Three - thousanders" (summits exceeding 3,000 m) with ski areas boasting state - of - the - art infrastructures. Thanks to the altitude , natural snow - cover in the Solda/Sulden ski area is guaranteed. The 44 km of downhill runs are rich in variety and the 11 km top terminal to valley run provides the ultimate in excitement.

As we planned today, Saturday the 17th is a day for us all to fill in as we

On Saturday morning 17 March 2018 we visited a beautiful monastry, the Benediktinerstift Marienberg. Marienberg, Europe's highest Benedictine abbey. The abbey Marienberg lies in the municipal district of Mals (Malles) in Vinschgau (Val Venosta) at a height of 1,340 m. Europe's highest abbey was donated by the Nobles of Tarasp in the 12th century and has a long school tradition. In 1724, the monks founded a humanistic high school in Merano and in the 20th century the abbey itself served as a private school. Today the monks are specialised in adult education: they offer weekend courses and longer retreats in forms of medication and self - reflexion as a means to get away from everyday life. The monastry overlooks the vilage of Burgeis (1262 m), also known as Burgusio.
